PMPO and RMS

Hi Guys,
Now Days you see Hi-Fi Sets and home theaters comes with power outputs over 100,000W.

What the hell ?? 100,000W (This is not Even PMPO)

Just think, Lets use W=VI It's formula to calculate power.....

Ok, Think... To get 100,000W or Even 10,000W out of a Amp, assuming you have a 110V domestic voltage, you'll need to take around 90A for 10,000W and 900A for 100,000W...
Now You see those figures are for completely Commercial purposes.

Most Hi-fi Sets and home theaters theses days have like all together 75W or max 100W RMS power output.

So Never think that you have a set with that kind of output, if you even have a one(impossible as far as i know to build a single amplifier to give that kind of output) you won't be able to afford the electricity bill and at the same time you'll need 3 phase current to drive it.... :D

In my Personal Experience.. Most of Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Sony products got STK amplifiers of 100W or 150W or some times power transistor amplifiers with same outputs. But they Advertise it has like 5,000W or 8,000W power output.

I'll Tell How to convert RMS to PMPO.

Thing is you can't really convert between these 2 values. They don't have any logical connection between them.
RMS - Root mean Square value.. it's like you home AC supply is 110V RMS.. it's peak value is 155.54V

PMPO - Peak Music Power Output this changes with various manufacturer and product. So sometimes 1W RMS equals 100W PMPO   Some times 1W equals 60W. Some times 100W equals 24,000W PMPO.

So I hope You Got a Understanding about RMS and PMPO and those mind deceiving numbers....

Thanks a lot.

Great 2.1 Amplifier Kit (Worth the every penny you spend) TDA2030A

Hi Guys,
It's been a while..
Today I'm Going to tell you about a good quality 2.1 amplifier DIY kit. It's also a Chinese amp board. But the thing is its good, and sounds awesome if you use right speakers with it.

You can buy it e-Bay Search it as,
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=10&pub=5575320707&toolid=10001&campid=5338163418&customid=&icep_uq=TDA2030A+2.1+amplifier&icep_sellerId=&icep_ex_kw=&icep_sortBy=12&icep_catId=293&icep_minPrice=&icep_maxPrice=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg

I'm Currently using this amp with my computer, and it gives the best quality sounds to my room. It's more than enough. you can make your room a movie theater if you placed speakers correctly.

I'll later tell you how to arrange speakers with correct placements to get the optimum sounds.

This costs around 3000/= without the transformer. You Should use a 12v dual supplies 5A Transformer to get the max out of the amp.

For subwoofer im using a 8"enclosed box type subwoofer.

For 2 front speakers i'm using 6" 3 way Kenwood mini compo speakers i got from second hand Japanese electronic store.

You can directly use it with your computer or with your phone.

Finally, my conclusion is its not the best but it worth the money you spend.

You can complete the project by spending around 10,000/=

This gives 18W + 18W RMS (not PMPO you see in today's hifi systems) for front speakers.
and 36W RMS power to Drive you Subwoofer.
